It’s the beginning of the new year and maybe It’s time to do some online training! Here are some free online training that may be beneficial to you.   

Australian Human Rights Commission  

The Australian Human Rights Commission has designed eLearning courses to support individuals to understand human rights and responsibilities. Courses include: 

  • An introduction to Human Rights  
  • An introduction to UN Human rights frameworks  
  • Building a culture of accessibility and inclusion. 

Centre for Community Welfare Training  

The Association of Children’s Welfare Agencies and Cente for Community Welfare Training has developed free online courses that are available to support staff who work with children, young people and/or their families. Courses include: 

  • Engaging with clients 
  • Identifying and responding to Domestic and Family Violence  
  • Making effective referrals. 

Disability Advocacy Resource Unit (DARU) 

DARU provides free online training targeted to disability advocates. The main aim of DARU’s training is to provide skills, knowledge and resources that promote a human rights approach to working with people with disability. This includes: 

  • Rights of parents and cares with disability  
  • Advocating for Children with Disability in Primary and Secondary Schools  
  • Disability Advocacy and the NDIS  
  • An introduction to Disability Advocacy. 

QCOSS Community Door E Training    

QCOSS has developed eTraining to support the social service sector. Courses include:  

  • Strengthening non-government organisations  
  • Governance 
  • National Disability Insurance Scheme.
