Systemic Advocacy works to solve an issue that affects a large group of people with disability.
The sorts of issues this advocacy addresses are often a problem with the system, meaning that many people are experiencing the same problem.
The National Centre for Disability Advocacy (NCDA) is funded to monitor, identify, and elevate systemic issues which have been highlighted by the disability advocacy sector.
Including:
Highlighting issues that people with disability experience
Bringing issues to the attention of government, the disability advocacy sector, and broader civil society.
Provide a channel for individual advocacy organisations to report emerging issues that can inform systemic advocacy.
Systemic advocacy activities are not carried out by the NCDA itself.
