The National Centre for Disability Advocacy (NCDA) invites both organisations and individuals working in the disability advocacy sector to take part in the 2025 Advocacy Workforce Survey.
This annual survey helps us understand the people and organisations shaping the sector, track trends over time, and identify training and development needs. As advocates, your insights are invaluable. By taking part in our sector-wide survey, you’re not just sharing your experiences—you’re helping shape decisions that impact our community. Your voice ensures that the realities on the ground are heard, understood, and acted upon.
There are two surveys available:
- Organisational Survey – one per organisation (CEO/Manager preferred)
- Individual Worker Survey – for paid staff with 50% or more advocacy or advocacy-adjacent duties
Organisational Survey
This survey is for organisations funded through:
- The National Disability Advocacy Program (NDAP)
- The NDIS Appeals Program
- Organisations that deliver disability advocacy to individuals
- Each organisation should complete the survey once. Ideally, the survey should be completed by someone in a leadership role (e.g. CEO, COO, Manager) with access to relevant organisational information
It is not intended for Disability Representative Organisations (DRO)
Individual Worker Survey
This survey is for paid staff in the disability advocacy sector who spend at least 50% of their role on advocacy-related work under the funding streams listed above.
This survey is for individual workers employed as:
- Disability advocates (across all models)
- Supervisors and team leaders
- Intake workers
- Administration
- Managers and executives
Key Information
- All responses are de-identified before analysis. Your identity or that of your organisation will not be published without explicit consent.
- Participation is voluntary, and you can withdraw at any time.
- The survey is open from Tuesday 26 August to Tuesday 16 September 2025.
- Surveys are hosted on Typeform with autosave enabled—you can pause and return later using the same browser.
