The NCDA is looking for the best-case studies from advocacy organisations around Australia to help develop a new video series! We want to hear stories of how advocacy has achieved a positive outcome for a person with a disability.
Last month, the NCDA held a webinar focused on the power of case studies. As part of that webinar, we discussed the key elements of making an effective case study, as well as how stories can connect people to the work of advocates. We also released our “case study guide” to the sector, click here to download the guide.
Advocates are responsible for some remarkable work and as a result, we want to highlight examples of how advocacy practice has achieved a positive outcome for a person with disability. The stories will be developed into a “My Story” Video Series. The professionally produced 5-minute videos will document the process advocacy took to enable these sensational outcomes.
If you have been involved, or know of a great outcome within your team, we would love to hear from you. Just click the link below to describe the situation, the process, and the outcome. If your story is selected, we will work with you and the clients to develop the video (provided the client has given/is willing to give consent to participate in the project).
As part of this project, we would love to create multiple videos with a range of diverse organisations, highlighting the best-case studies for each type of advocacy (individual, self, family, peer, citizen, NDIS appeals) to show wider society the remarkable work that is happening within the advocacy sector.
