Earlier this month, our Data Education and Engagement Officer, Emy, represented the NCDA at a Queensland Independent Disability Advocacy Network (QIDAN) strategy meeting in Brisbane, focused on strengthening collective advocacy across Queensland.
Emy presented a session to QIDAN members working in leadership and operational roles, sharing findings from the 2025 Advocacy Sector Workforce Survey around staff wellbeing. They spoke about using data to understand what the causes of stress are for advocates, current training and professional development needs and beneficial workplace supports.
It was a great opportunity to collaborate on strategies that prioritise the wellbeing of our advocacy workforce.
